Dear Auntie:
One of my clients has Down's syndrome, lots of
family, and is constantly picking her nose. In fact, this is a high
frequency behavior. What can be done?
Dear Nose Picker's Staff:
Does your client screw her
finger into her nose, or does she stick it and pick it? This can be
a habit, an infection, or both. A person can have a very stubborn
bacterial infection in the nose. If she's screwing her nose, try
triple antibiotic cream for a couple months. Yes, I said months.
Otherwise, have her wear white gloves!
